FACT Infrastructure Levy and Weighing Charge for FCL – From 1st July 2018

We have been informed by FACT (Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal) that the land and infrastructure costs associated with operating the landside component of their business has significantly increased. In order to ensure that the Terminal continues to be a viable business FACT will be introducing an ancillary container charge which will apply from the 1st of July 2018. These charges will be passed down from FACT to the transport company, to the forwarder/agent who has organised transport (Tayper), then to you as the importer/exporter/agent. These ancillary charges will increase the cartage rates for FCL shipments, both import and export in Adelaide from 1st of July 2018. Import Sea Freight $50.00 per container + GST We appreciate your understanding that these costs are beyond our control and applicable to all imports and exports of FCL consignments in and out of Adelaide.
